Patrick Macrory led a training course on trade and investment in New Delhi 10-12 January. The course was jointly sponsored by the International Law Institute (Washington DC) and the Centre for Trade and Investment Law, which was set up by the Indian Ministry of Commerce andTrade as a thinktank and training arm. The course was attended by more than forty government officials, mostly from the Commerce Ministry but some from other Ministries, such as Justice, Animal Husbandry, and Environment . The course ended with a panel discussion chaired by a former Secretary of Commerce, with a keynote address by the Additional Secretary of Commerce and Chief Trade Negotiator. Other panelists included three former Deputy Directors-General of the WTO.
