Silicon Valley Partner Elizabeth Chien-Hale at Opening Ceremony in IP Forum in Beijing

The CNIPA-US Bar Liaison Council, for which Elizabeth serves as the current Chair,  made the first in-person China visit since the pandemic started in late 2020. Marking our 10th year of collaboration with the CNIPA, a great delegation of US  intellectual property practitioners visited China. CNIPA was very supportive and organized major public events for us in Beijing and Guangzhou. There was also a delegation only meeting Deputy Commissioner Pengqi Lu.  Commissioner Lu was appointed in 2022 and has an IP background; he was formerly with the first generation China IP Firm China Patent Agency, and he was also the director of the Shaanxi Intellectual Property Office.
